GUESSING YOUR PASSWORD – A LOVED ONE’S BIRTHDAY IN REVERSE PERHAPS??TIME TO UPDATE YOUR PASSWORDS

Updated: Jan 13, 2022

The Average person has about nineteen passwords to remember, but how many of those are duplicated? How many random services have you signed up for and needed to use a password? You need to create an account for everything from ordering a pizza to applying for a job. Do you use the same password or use the secure ones they suggest that you will never remember? Many do.

Last week FBI head Chris Wray made an announcement that Cyber Attacks were on the rise exponentially. From oil pipelines to meat processing plants to over SIXTY members of Congress, almost everything has been compromised. Why? How? And Who?

But the biggest threat to the average person was announced last week when 8.5 Billion passwords were dumped onto the internet. 8.5 Billion. That's one password for every living person on the planet right now. The chances you are compromised is 1 in 19. Unless you use the same password for everything, then assume you are compromised.

The bigger question is how they got them all? Is it possible that there is hardware installed in your networking devices that captures them? Is someone on the inside of the biggest Tech companies giving them out? Who knows? But the fact remains that you are no longer secure.

What can you do? Change your passwords immediately, all of them. Use something you have never used before and use the suggested recommendations listed HERE to create a more secure password, one that is harder to decrypt or guess.
